The nomination must show more than popularity. It should demonstrate leadership, contribution, integrity, influence, and a clear connection to African progress.

A nominee may have influence across several areas, but the nomination should identify the strongest primary category.
Founders, executives, investors, operators, and builders creating jobs, enterprise, and economic opportunity.
Innovators using technology, science, engineering, digital systems, or research to solve meaningful problems.
Educators, mentors, school leaders, and youth champions expanding learning and opportunity.
Leaders advancing women’s economic power, safety, representation, enterprise, and leadership.
Local builders and nonprofit leaders strengthening health, livelihoods, food security, water, and community systems.
Artists, storytellers, cultural leaders, athletes, and media voices shaping African identity and influence.
Diaspora leaders building bridges, mobilizing resources, and advancing African interests globally.
Public servants, advocates, policy leaders, and civic voices strengthening institutions and society.
A strong submission helps the review team understand the nominee’s story without relying on assumptions or name recognition.
Provide accurate name, age or date of birth, country, location, role, organization, and contact information where available.
Explain what the nominee does, the problem addressed, important achievements, and the people or communities affected.
Include credible links, media coverage, websites, professional profiles, awards, reports, or other proof that supports the nomination.
Submitting a nomination does not guarantee selection. ACD may contact the nominator or nominee to verify details or request additional information.
Complete the nomination form with accurate information and a compelling reason for recognition.
ACD evaluates eligibility, category fit, contribution, credibility, integrity, and African relevance.
The team may verify achievements, request supporting details, or contact the nominee or nominator.
