ACD Ambassadors are credible advocates and connectors who expand awareness, build relationships, mobilize participation, and represent the coalition with integrity in their cities, sectors, campuses, institutions, and diaspora networks.
ACD’s ambassador network is designed for people who believe Africa’s development must be led with dignity, responsibility, and local context.
This is a contribution role. Ambassadors are expected to create meaningful connections, communicate accurately, and support approved ACD priorities—not operate independently in ACD’s name.
Share the mission, programs, projects, and participation pathways using approved information.
Introduce individuals and organizations whose values, capacity, or expertise align with the work.
Encourage participation through events, projects, giving, volunteering, media, and partnerships.
Represent ACD with integrity, cultural respect, professionalism, and accountability.
Applicants may be considered for the pathway that best matches their location, experience, relationships, and ability to serve.
Build awareness and participation within a city, association, community, or local network.
Strengthen meaningful connections between African development priorities and diaspora communities.
Advance Africa-centered leadership, service, and development conversations among young people.
Use sector knowledge and professional relationships to strengthen ACD’s reach and capacity.
Help extend accurate, dignified African development storytelling across media and digital networks.
Serve as a relationship bridge with companies, foundations, nonprofits, governments, or universities.
The role requires consistency, sound judgment, respectful communication, and a willingness to follow ACD’s direction, brand standards, and safeguarding expectations.
Understand and uphold ACD’s Africa-led development principles and nonprofit purpose.
Communicate accurately, avoid unauthorized commitments, and protect ACD’s reputation.
Participate consistently through outreach, introductions, events, campaigns, or approved initiatives.
Share activity updates, disclose conflicts, and remain responsive to the ACD team.
Selected ambassadors receive guidance and resources appropriate to their approved role and level of participation.
Introduction to ACD’s mission, programs, public messaging, and ambassador responsibilities.
Access to selected campaign information, public materials, and communication guidance.
Opportunities to connect with other ambassadors, leaders, contributors, and development partners.
Participation in selected ACD events, learning sessions, campaigns, and community initiatives.
